Super Healthy Chili Con Carne

- 1/2 lb extra lean, hormone-free ground beef
- 1 diced large onion
- 1/2 chopped green pepper
- 1-19 oz can of red kidney beans or 2 cups of red kidney beans soaked overnight
- 1-14 oz can whole peeled chopped tomatoes or 3-6 chopped organic tomatoes
- 1-5 oz can tomato paste or add another 1-2 organic tomatoes
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup nutritional yeast (I like the brand from Bragg’s)
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp stevia
- 2-3 tbsp chili powder
In a large saucepan, cook beef, onions, and green pepper over medium-high heat until meat is browned. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 40-45 minutes.
